News and Information

NSDL News and Information services are provided to improve communications with and among groups interested in participating in NSDL; keep partners, collaborators, stakeholders and the public up-to-date about NSDL activities, and services; and evaluate and report on the impact of activities.

The NSDL Community Network site is the primary mechanism for NSDL news and information: an interactive, participatory community platform and information source enabling sharing of ideas, announcements, updates, project activities, conversations, and collaboration for the community of projects, services, people and partnerships that comprise the National Science Digital Library (NSDL), and that are recipients of funding from the National Science Foundation's National STEM Distributed Learning program. The Community Network site also serves as an information source for stakeholders and groups with an interest in STEM education, cyberlearning issues, and in partnering with NSDL. Users may:

NSDL.org remains the go-to site for educators and students to discover and use STEM learning resources at all levels, to learn about and link to NSDL Pathways projects (disciplinary and audience-focused portals that are part of of NSDL), and for library developers to gain essential information on technical infrastructure and services of NSDL (Participate in NSDL).

  • NSDL-all email list - moderated list used to distribute news and information to the NSDL community
  • NSDL-Projects email list - email list used for communication to all Services, Targeted Research, and small grant NSDL project PIs and co-PIs (restricted)
  • Pathways email list - used for collaboration among Pathways projects PIs and co-PIs (restricted)
