Digital Collection System

The Digital Collection System (DCS) is a web-based content and metadata management system that provides a form-based editor for managing items that are defined by XML schemas and are stored and distributed as XML files. Items are grouped into collections and access may be controlled through role-based permissions to support concurrent use by multiple individuals or organizations. Items in a DCS repository may be accessed through the web-based editor, through a REST-like search API, or through OAI-PMH.

The software runs in a servlet container such as Apache Tomcat and can be installed on Windows, Linux, Mac OS or UNIX systems.
