This website developed by the Faculty of Chemical Technology in Croatia provides an interactive Periodic Table of Elements. Students and educators can find information dealing with each element's discovery history, thermal properties, ionization energy, minerals and use, isotopes, and reduction potentials. Besides the standard periodic table, this easily navigable website features an online remote control where visitors can quickly obtain information about the chemical either by name or symbol and definitions to chemical terms.

| Description | The Middle School Portal 2: Math and Science Pathways (MSP2) supports middle grades educators with high-quality, standards-based resources and promotes collaboration and knowledge-sharing among its users. Educators use MSP2 to increase content knowledge in science, mathematics, and appropriate pedagogy for youth ages 10 to 15. MSP2 employs social networking and digital tools to foster dynamic experiences that promote creation, modification, and sharing of resources, facilitate professional development, and support the integration of technology into practice. MSP2 is a project of the Ohio State University College of Education and Human Ecology, National Middle School Association, and Education Development Center, Inc., and is funded by the National Science Foundation. The partners integrate resources, tools, and services across projects, and support multiple methods of resource discovery to meet the needs of this audience. |

For elements that have no stable nuclides, the value enclosed in brackets indicates the mass number of the longest-lived isotope of the element. However three such elements (thorium, protactinium and uranium) do have a characteristic terrestrial isotopic composition, and for these an atomic weight is tabulated (Atomic Weights of the Elements 2007, Pure Appl. Chem., Vol. 81, No. 11, (2009) 2131-2156). Where are the missing elements with atomic numbers above 112? The last period is not yet complete because we still haven't made these elements in laboratories. See "On the Claims for Discovery of Elements 110, 111, 112, 114, 116, and 118", Pure Appl. Chem., Vol. 75, No. 10, (2003) 1601-1611 and "Discovery of the Elements with Atomic Number 114 and 116". ONLINE CONTENTS Why is the periodic table shaped like it is? Organization of chemical elements in alphabetical order by their names (or symbols) doesn't tell us anything about their properties but it is useful when searching for an element. We can list elements in order of increasing atomic number but it wouldn't be a periodic table any more. The periodic table is a chart that organizes the elements by increasing atomic number and their chemical and physical properties. Rows are arranged so that elements with similar properties fall into the same vertical columns ("groups"). The long form of the periodic table The lanthanides and actinides should actually be placed in the middle of the table as well, after lanthanum and actinium, but, because of their similarity to each other, they are removed from the middle to save space. The short form of the periodic table On periodni.com you can find two different sites EniG.
