Resource Title:Explore more : the future of energy
Description:Through articles and video clips, this site examines the future of energy. The material, which is suitable for grades 7-12, includes profiles of an array of energy sources such as hydropower and descriptions of four primary uses of energy, including heating/cooling and transportation. One section is devoted to major energy-related issues such as the environment and another offers video clips of experts ranging from industry representatives to politicians sharing their views about the future of energy. Scientific information about energy is also available. Throughout the site, students can access glossary definitions of highlighted key terms. Other features include a list of annotated web sites, links to career materials, and a section of teacher resources containing tools and strategies for using this site, energy webquests and lesson plans, and more.
