This site contains four different math activities: Math at the Mall, Math in the Park or City, Wheel Figure This Out, and Gearing Up. The first looks at mathematics at the mall, categorizing shops and calculating the amount of floor space occupied by each category. The second activity explores mathematics in the park, or city, it involves calculation of the height of objects. The third and fourth activities take a mathematical look at bicycles, involving both geometry and ratios. Answers and explanations of the four activities and other links are included.
