Resource Title:Astronomy for Kids
Description:This site gives information about space. Included are facts and photos of the solar system and the planets: "Where is it? Can I see it? How big is it? How did it get its name? What is it made of? and What's it like on the surface?" Students will learn about the ecliptic, red shift, how other planets are found, and what causes peaks in craters, a solar eclipse, a lunar eclipse, and a meteor shower. Included are word searches that can be printed out, postcards that can be sent through email, monthly sky maps, and additional links. By going to the site map, students can view photos of each of the planets.
