| Description: | This web page offers an extensive list of middle school mathematics activities that contain Java applets. The activities, useful for individual or small group learning situations, are organized by four content standards found in the NCTM Principles and Standards for School Mathematics and the NCEE Performance Standards for Middle School. The activity list is divided into four sections: number and operation, geometry and measurement, function and algebra, and probability and data analysis. A brief description and link accompany each activity. In addition, the web page describes the types of supplementary information available for each activity. Typically, this information includes an explanation of the activity's purpose, a description of functionality, and information about how the mathematics fits into the curriculum.
