Resource Title:Manipula math with Java : Pythagorean theorem
Description:This applet gives a visual informal proof of the Pythagorean theorem. Users may define any right triangle. The applet shows the square constructed on each of the triangle's three sides; it then divides each of the squares constructed on the legs into pieces. Students must move the pieces and reassemble them inside the square constructed on the hypotenuse to prove to themselves that the area of the two smaller squares is the same as the area of the larger square.
