| Description: | This applet provides practice with order of operations and the four basic operations on whole numbers. Four numbers are displayed, all of which must be used to compute a number that is as close to 24 as possible. Users click on a number and then select the addition, multiplication, subtraction, or division button. Another number must be selected, followed by another operation, and so forth. All four numbers must be used and parentheses buttons are included to aid students in creating their numerical expressions. Points are awarded according to how close the student's number is to 24.
